Dr. Schweitzer is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She received a bachelor of science degree with honors and distinction from Cornell University, where she majored in human development and family studies. She was awarded her medical degree from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She completed her post-graduate training as an intern and resident at Columbia Children’s Hospital of New York, where she was the recipient of the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award.
Upon completing her training, she worked in the Emergency Department at Columbia Children’s Hospital of New York-Presbyterian, where she taught third-year medical students as well and cared for patients. At the same time, she joined Westchester Pediatrics in Hartsdale, NY where she has been a pediatrician in private practice and partner. She is an instructor in clinical pediatrics at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and an attending pediatrician at White Plains Hospital.
Dr. Schweitzer has admitting privileges at Children’s Hospital of New York (CHONY) and White Plains Hospital.
She joined Westmed in August 2014.
