Dr. Channa Ovits earned her Doctor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine where she was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA), a national honor medical society. She then went on to complete her preliminary year of residency in internal medicine at Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital followed by her dermatology residency at New York University, Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology.
Prior to her medical studies, Dr. Ovits attended Yeshiva University Stern College for Women where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in biology with a concentration in molecular and cellular biology.
During her studies, Dr. Ovits received many Academic Scholarships and Awards. In 2019 she served as Cosmetic Chief at NYU. She is a Rudin Foundation Grant recipient for resident research in Merkel Cell Carcinoma at NYU Dermatology. Additionally, she has published and presented many research papers related to dermatology.
Dr. Ovits is an Associate of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the Women’s Dermatologic Society.
