Dr. Hume was awarded her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine after earning her undergraduate degree at Princeton University. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, NY and went on to complete a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at Weill-Cornell Medical College in New York, NY. During her fellowship and residency, she won Outstanding Teacher of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Medical Student Teaching Awards two years consecutively.
Prior to joining Westmed, Dr. Hume practiced perinatology and obstetrics at Mt. Sinai Hospital and at the Phillips Ambulatory Care Center/Mount Sinai-Beth Israel where she consulted in the ultrasound department for pregnant patients dealing with complications. During this time, she also served as assistant professor in maternal-fetal medicine at the Mount Sinai Health System in New York, NY.
Dr. Hume is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is also a member of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine and a member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal in Medicine.
Dr. Hume has published and presented numerous research papers on medical topics related to obstetrics and gynecology.
