Dr. Morrissey is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She earned a bachelor of science degree cum laude in biology from the College of William and Mary. She was awarded her medical degree by the State University of New York Upstate Medical University. She then completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Luke’s“Roosevelt Hospital Center, where she served as chief resident.
She was in private practice in New York City and a voluntary attending physician at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital from the summer of 2012 to spring 2014. She is a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Dr. Morrissey’s areas of clinical focus are low and high-risk pregnancy as well as family planning and contraception. She brings a œstrengths perspective to her practice.
She is currently completing a certificate in health care management at the Fordham University School of Business Administration. Also, she is treasurer for the Collaborative for Palliative Care, New York, a consortium of healthcare providers and professionals committed to palliative care education, training and research.
She joined Westmed in August 2014. Dr. Morrissey resides in New York City with her husband and daughter.
