Michael A. Digiorno, DO

Michael DiGiorno, DO, MHSA, FASN is the Chief of Nephrology at St. John’s Riverside Hospital, the Director of the Joshi Center for Comprehensive Renal Care in Yonkers, and Medical Director of the St. John’s Medical Group. He has been awarded with Vitals Compassionate Doctors, Top 10 Doctors and Patient’s Choice designations. Dr. DiGiorno is an active member of St. John’s Riverside Hospital, where he serves in administration and medical education.

To help secure our region’s future physicians, Dr. DiGiorno organized the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) education program for medical students and championed the implementation of ACGME-accredited residencies in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine at St. John’s Riverside Hospital. He received regional recognition for his leadership during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic and has continued to work with private and governmental agencies to improve healthcare in our area.

Dr. DiGiorno is board-certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine. He graduated from Lake Erie College Of Osteopathic Medicine, completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center, where he also served as Chief Resident. His fellowship in Nephrology was completed at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn. New York. He received the designation of Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology and received a Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration.
