Dr. Ali received his Bachelor of Science in life sciences from the New York Institute of Technology and earned his Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine in Miramar, FL. He completed his residency and served as chief resident of the Mid-Hudson Family Medicine Residency Program at the Institute for Family Health in Kingston, NY. In this role, Dr. Ali was responsible for the direct evaluation of medical students, interns and residents.
Prior to joining Westmed, Dr. Ali worked in a rural family medicine clinic in Ellenville, NY and was a volunteer sideline medicine physician for the Kingston City School district athletics. Additionally, he is an advocate for Teaching Health Centers, which aim to ensure a viable primary care workforce for low-income communities by providing training at federally qualified health centers and similar sites.
Dr. Ali is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He is also a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the New York State Academy for Family Physicians.
