To improve the quality of life and the rights for all people with disabilities.
HOW WE MAKE AN IMPACT
We advocate and provide free services for those with disabilities to live independently. Unlike most organizations, we serve all disabilities, not just one or a few. Board members and staff are primarily People With Disabilities. We walk the talk, share the same experiences as those we assist. Programs include: affordable healthcare insurance; accessible counseling; assistance with moving and staying out of nursing homes (we can help with rent!) and more. In the past year, we assisted 2,040 individuals and families and kept 30 from being trapped in nursing homes. INDEPENDENCE. EMPOWERMENT.
GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
Tax-deductible donations keep costs down, provide more services. Your gift will help people with disabilities: acquire affordable healthcare insurance even with excess resources, obtain benefits to stay in the community, move to accessible and affordable home, move out of nursing homes and take control of their lives. It Makes A Difference. Visit https://wdom.org/donate/.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
To volunteer, please email info@wdom.org. Consider becoming a member of our Board, joining a Board committee, or assisting at our in-person events.
